Masahiro Origuchi

Mr. Origuchi is the Chief Executive Officer of Broad Capital Partners, where he leads the firm’s executive coaching and advisory services to entrepreneurs and CEOs, including business growth, branding, and corporate identity initiatives.

Mr. Origuchi began his career at Nissho Iwai Corporation (now Sojitz), where he worked in international trade before founding and operating several iconic entertainment venues in Tokyo, including JULIANA’s Tokyo and Velfarre. He later founded Goodwill Inc. and COMSN Inc., pioneering large-scale human resources outsourcing and nationwide 24-hour private nursing care services in Japan. Under his leadership, The Goodwill Group Inc. grew from inception to a Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section–listed company, achieving annual revenues of ¥140 billion ($1.4 billion*) within ten years and later expanding to ¥770 billion ($7.7 billion*) in revenue with a market capitalization exceeding ¥780 billion ($7.8 billion*) through domestic and international acquisitions of major human resources companies.

Relocating to New York in 2008, Mr. Origuchi drove the global expansion of the MEGU fine-dining restaurant brand, opening locations in major international cities, including Moscow, Doha, New Delhi, and Gstaad, earning the Six-Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. He has served on the board of the Japan Business Federation, received the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon from the Japanese government, and has been recognized by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Japanese Red Cross Society for his philanthropic contributions. He is also the author of several bestselling business books: Business Essentials for Becoming an Entrepreneur – How to Create a Business from Youth Culture (Business Economy / 1997), 50 Paradoxes of Masahiro Origuchi (Toyo Keizai/ 2000), Professional Management Essentials (Tokuma Shoten / 2005), and Iron Heart – The Entrepreneur Who Built a Company with ¥770 Billion Revenue in 12 Years (Shobunsha / 2020).

Mr. Origuchi holds a degree in Science and Engineering from the National Defense Academy of Japan.

Steve Gaynor

Managing Partner

Mr. Gaynor is a Managing Partner at Broad Capital Partners, where he advises companies on strategy, financing, and M&A.

Mr. Gaynor began his career on Wall Street as an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and as a banker at L.F. Rothschild, gaining experience in IPOs, M&A, and corporate financing. He later played a leadership role in the global expansion of mobile operator AirTouch, which led to its acquisition by Vodafone. He subsequently became a Partner at Arthur D. Little and served as interim CEO of two Silicon Valley startups that were successfully sold. Today, he advises companies on strategy, financing, and M&A and offers securities and investment banking services through LoHi Securities and FINRA/SIPC.

Mr. Gaynor holds an MBA and a JD from Harvard University.

Koji Iwaoka

Mr. Iwaoka is a Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Broad Capital Partners, where he advises on financial and accounting strategy from idea formation through execution.

Prior to joining Broad Capital Partners, Mr. Iwaoka served in senior roles within the labor relations and legal divisions of a major staffing services firm, leading numerous M&A transactions, including acquisitions valued at over ¥200 billion. He later served as CFO of a large U.S. restaurant chain backed by a Singapore-based investment fund, where he drove valuation improvements and a successful exit. He subsequently led finance and accounting functions for a major Japanese manufacturer at its Asia headquarters in Hong Kong, establishing corporate governance frameworks and executing restructuring initiatives. Furthermore, he led the business turnaround process for a portfolio Japanese electronics manufacturer.

Mr. Iwaoka holds a Master of Science in Finance from Waseda University.

Masaru Sakamoto

Partner

Mr. Sakamoto is a Partner at Broad Capital Partners, bringing over 35 years of experience across business strategy, venture investment, business incubation, and cross-border M&A and business partnership throughout the Pacific Rim.

Based in Silicon Valley, Mr. Sakamoto previously served as Group Vice President of NEC, where he led the establishment of a corporate venture fund focused on the IT services sector. He has served on the boards of Niteo Partners, Open Group, Enterprise Network, and Vidient Systems, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Ecoplexus Japan. He previously served as a General Partner of Hack Ventures.

Mr. Sakamoto holds an MBA from Harvard University.

Makoto Nakagawa

Partner

Mr. Nakagawa is a Partner at Broad Capital Partners, advising companies on corporate compliance, M&A, business alliances, company formation, and overseas expansion from a strategic and preventative legal perspective.

Mr. Nakagawa spent 17 years at Nissho Iwai Corporation, serving in corporate legal and risk management roles across Japan, New York, and Bangkok. He later joined SoftBank Corp., where he served as Legal General Manager of a subsidiary, overseeing contracts, compliance, dispute resolution, and regulatory negotiations with public administration, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Fair Trade Commission. He subsequently joined a major paper manufacturing company, where he led large-scale corporate reorganizations and served as a director and executive officer across subsidiaries and affiliated companies.

Mr. Nakagawa holds a Bachelor of Jurisprudence from Hitotsubashi University and an LL.M. in Comparative Law from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Takako Sinzi

Regardless of whether it was two-dimensional or three-dimensional, she consistently handled everything from concept design to overall creative work and supervision, working in a wide range of fields including art direction, information design, CI, and textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education, through managing a production company. Later, at Goodwill Group, she concurrently served as Public Relations Manager/CI Audit Manager and Director of the Publishing Department of a subsidiary. She oversaw the group's branding, handling media publication, spatial planning, intellectual property management, and cultural integration support during M&A. At the same time, she improved the efficiency of information dissemination by managing employee PR activity risks and production management of production personnel.

She is also involved in educational and research activities. Since 2012, she has served as a part-time lecturer at art universities and graduate schools, teaching a curriculum that spans writing, infographics, history of science, and contemporary art. She also serves as a senior visiting researcher at an engineering university, conducting research and development on systems for the transmission of history. She received the 16th FOST Newcomer Award from the Foundation for Science and Technology Fusion and the Information Processing Society of Japan FIT2020 Information Science and Technology Forum Encouragement Award.

At Broad Capital Partners, as a branding consultant, she is responsible for developing brand value expression strategies based on the management's philosophy, providing advice on book publishing, and creative direction.

The areas of expertise are information representation engineering and history engineering.

Takashi Hayasaka

Partner

Mr. Hayasaka is a Partner at Broad Capital Partners, where he advises clients on business development and sales expansion strategies. He also provides hands-on support in sales strategy role-play training, promotional planning, and internal training programs.

Prior to joining Broad Capital Partners, Mr. Hayasaka began his career at Bandai Co., Ltd. and served as a sales strategy leader in the bridal industry before joining a major human resources services group company. As Head of Corporate Sales, he led large-scale accounts totaling several billion yen and played a key role in the company’s business expansion. He later served as Head of Business Operations at a group-affiliated welfare services company, overseeing the rapid launch of over 1,200 branch offices nationwide within four months. He subsequently relocated to Hong Kong as President of an internationally expanding fine-dining company Megu, where he oversaw end-to-end operations, including store development, hospitality training, and service delivery. He later joined Huis Ten Bosch Co., Ltd as an Executive Officer and General Manager of Park Operations, leading a dramatic turnaround that generated over ¥10 billion in operating profit within three years.

Mr. Hayasaka is particularly renowned for his expertise in entertainment and theme park operations.

Takahiro Origuchi

Taka is a Vice President and Head of the Global Division at Broad Capital Partners, where he leads international expansion initiatives and cross-border strategy for client companies.

Prior to joining Broad Capital Partners, Taka worked across business development, investment analysis, and operational strategy roles, including with a fashion and image-recognition AI startup and a private equity-backed data center platform. He began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he spent over three years in client-facing roles within the Global Banking & Markets Division.

Taka is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
